The charger is designed for installation in the vehicle and complies with all regulations of the FNFW of the valid fire brigade standard DIN 14679 for charging and trickle charging of auxiliary batteries and starter batteries in intervention vehicles.

The units of series VAC-F II are equipped with a protective insulation (protection class II, 2-core mains cable), and connection of a protective conductor is not required. So, they can be applied universally. Special case: In case of a (mains) single installation in the vehicle in protection class II according to DIN 14679, supplement C, the electric mains cable of the unit can simply be replaced by the heavy H07RN-F cable, 2x2.5 mm², being prescribed in this case. The mains terminals in the unit are easily accessible.

Description

  • Optical and acoustical warning in case of battery failures and operating errors
  • Precise battery temperature compensation, temperature sensor is included in the standard delivery
  • Battery regeneration in case of extended stop periods twice a week
  • Compensation of the voltage loss on the charging cables ensuring exact observation of the charging voltage rates
  • Separation of the batteries in case of power failure, overheating, incorrect behaviour (safety relay for each charging port)
  • Power pack function allows continued operation of the consumers and preservation of data, such as in case of battery replacement
  • Manual charging start for totally discharged battery according to DIN 14679

5 „MOTOR“: Charging Program for Lead, Acid/Lead-Acid Batteries, Characteristic Line IU1oU2 Characteristic line similar to dynamo/generator for mobile application (acid accumulation) with particularly low maintenance (battery gassing, water consumption). Charging and
conservation of charge of starter batteries in intervention vehicles, according to a customary suggestion of the Standard Committee Fire Protection (FNFW). For conventional, standard
starter batteries, starter batteries being "absolutely maintenance-free", "maintenance-free according to EN", "maintenance-free according to DIN", "maintenance-free", "lowmaintenance".

6 „L“: Closed Acid/Lead-Acid Batteries with Water Consumption
